We are looking for an outstanding Housekeeper & Kitchen Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others.
You’ll be working 20 hours per week, as both a Housekeeper and Kitchen Assistant (dependent on which area needs support) at Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.
Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is our new hospital for women in Staffordshire. The service is now open and accepting referrals.
There are two wards at the hospital: a 20-bed Acute service for women and an 11-bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service.
Crocus Ward provides a safe and stabilising environment for women experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring emergency admission. Burleigh Ward provides specialised support for women with a personality disorder and other complex needs.
Your day-to-day includes:
* Ensuring the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
* Carrying out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
* Maintaining & replenishing stock and ensuring equipment is clean & well maintained
* Employing safe working practices & adhering to health & safety procedures
* Complying with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
* As part of the Catering Team, assisting in the efficient preparation, service, and distribution of meals to patients, staff, and visitors, providing a quality service of meals, snacks, and beverages, following recognized catering, hygiene, and safety practices under the supervision of the Duty / Head Chef depending on duties allocated.
