We are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Electrical Engineer to take the lead in driving reliability improvements and supporting sustainable operations within a busy manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Electrical Engineer, this role provides technical expertise across key plant areas while ensuring preventative maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsibility for the reliability of electrical systems across designated plant areas (BB/BLC/Mill).
Delivery of agreed reliability, AM/PM plans, and maintenance strategies in collaboration with Production, Quality, Operations, and Contractors.
Supporting the maintenance planning team to optimise decisions on site-critical assets.
Ensuring preventative maintenance tasks are carried out safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Playing a key role in regular plant shutdowns alongside the Maintenance Team Engineer and Maintenance Operations Manager.
Investigating CBM and OTR findings, working with the Senior Electrical Engineer to plan and optimise shutdown activities.
RequirementsRequirements
Experience working with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, E-Maint).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.
Hands-on experience with PLC and VSD systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
Previous experience within an FMCG maintenance department.
Involvement in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
Strong problem-solving ability.
PLC qualifications (desirable).
Degree-level qualification in engineering, electrical, or electromechanical (preferred) or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
