A well-established and inclusive secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an experienced and qualified Media Studies Teacher (QTS) to join their team for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This is a one-term contract, with potential for extension beyond December.
The Role
You will be responsible for teaching Media Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5 within the English department. As the sole Media specialist in the department, you will need to plan, deliver, and assess independently, so a thorough understanding of the Media Studies curriculum—including online media—is essential. This position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and is best suited to a confident practitioner with prior experience teaching Media Studies at GCSE and A-Level.

Requirements
UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching Media Studies at KS4 and KS5
Strong subject knowledge, especially in online media
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
