Role and responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Housing with Care Team as a frontline manager. You will:

* Support the Assistant Manager and Registered Manager in the overall administration of a Housing with Care scheme.
* Supervise and work alongside a group of staff, deploying resources that meet the needs of tenants through person-centred service delivery.
* Work closely with healthcare colleagues in a fast-paced environment to facilitate hospital discharges into our reablement flats.
* Be accountable for carrying out all duties with due regard to the City Council’s Equal Opportunities.
* Provide a quality service by promoting the physical (including administration of medication), emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of each service user.
* Ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to with due regard to service users, staff and all persons accessing our service.
* Safeguard vulnerable adults and ensure the service meets the needs and outcomes of each service user.
* Support the staff team to meet and excel the expected behaviour guidelines.


Requirements and qualifications

* All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered for this role.
* This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and appointment will be conditional upon a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures and be able to work with management to ensure Service Users' needs are met to support their individual outcomes.
* The ability to use own initiative and respond flexibly to the needs of Service Users, promoting dignity, respect and choice at all times.
* Previous experience of working in a Health or Social Care setting is essential.
* You will need a relevant Level 2 Qualification in social care, with the aim to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.


Hours, locations and sponsorship

We are recruiting for two permanent posts: 29 hours and 18.5 hours per week. Roles require rota-based shifts between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays. While roles are based at specific locations, these are city-wide contracts and you may be required to work across six Housing with Care locations. Sponsorship is not supported for this post.
