We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and experienced professionals to join our team as Senior Residential Support Workers. In this vital role, you'll support children and young people in our care, creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where they can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Children and Young People:

* Provide a caring and secure environment where children feel safe and valued.
* Actively promote education by supporting school attendance, assisting with homework, and attending key meetings.
* Serve as a positive role model, applying therapeutic approaches to foster growth and development.
* Support individual care plans and engage in direct work with children to meet their specific needs.
* Facilitate children's meetings and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making.
* Respond to emergencies such as behavioral crises, safeguarding concerns, or medical incidents calmly and effectively, ensuring children's safety and well-being.
* Oversee the physical and mental health needs of young people, liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure appointments, medications, and interventions are managed appropriately.

Team Leadership:

* Supervise and guide residential support workers, ensuring effective teamwork.
* Lead shifts, plan schedules, and provide support to staff in day-to-day operations.
* Promote adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.
* Conduct thorough handovers at the start and end of shifts to ensure consistent care and communication between staff.
* Ensure all staff adhere to regulatory frameworks, such as the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

Partnership and Collaboration:

* Work with external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
* Represent the home in care reviews and planning meetings, ensuring effective communication and advocacy.

General Duties:

* Maintain accurate and high-quality records and reports.
* Assist with transportation of children to appointments, school, and family visits.
* Ensure financial and resource management aligns with organizational guidelines.
* Commit to continuous learning and professional development, including regular supervision and training.

What We're Looking For- Requirements;

* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years of experience working in children's residential care.
* Passion for supporting young people and a commitment to inclusion and equality.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and sleep-ins.
* Must be a car Driver
