Our client, a large and inclusive academy based in Milton Keynes, is seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH and Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who require tailored emotional and behavioural support to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class and out-of-class support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs
* Assist in delivering personalised interventions and behaviour strategies
* Support students with emotional regulation, focus, and classroom engagement
* Build positive and trusting relationships with students to help improve behaviour and wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and the pastoral team
* Help promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH and behavioural difficulties
* Understands the importance of consistency, routine, and a trauma-informed approach
* Has strong interpersonal skills and is calm under pressure
* Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
* Has experience in education, youth work, or care settings (desirable but not essential)
