Head of procurement role for my client that is a rapidly growing food business who have recently gone through an exciting period of change.
This is an exciting new role for the business. Joining as Head of Procurement you’ll oversea procurement, supply chain and logistics operations. This role involves significant cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and contract negotiation to drive value across the supply chain. The business has experienced huge growth and changes over the last 12 months, and they have very ambitious plans moving forward.
They are looking for an experienced food procurement leader to be responsible for the following:
1. To lead and develop the Procurement Strategy and function
2. Establish and maintain supplier partnerships with key supplier partners
3. Monitor key commodities and define strategic sourcing requirements
4. Negotiate best terms and cost prices
5. Identify, lead, and manage cost saving initiatives
6. Work with key stakeholders to aid business vision and goals
7. Develop suppliers to meet business requirements
8. Budgeting and Financial Management
9. Compliance and Risk Management
To be successful you will need in depth knowledge of working within a procurement function in a food manufacturing environment. You’ll have previous senior management and leadership experience and the ability to work as part of a high functioning team. You will need varied category knowledge across a wide range of ingredients and packaging.
