The Role The school is looking for a qualified Drama Teacher with experience teaching across all key stages, up to GCSE and A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality, practical, and theoretical Drama lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. Developing and implementing a creative and challenging curriculum that explores devising, scripted work, and theatre history (including practitioners like Stanislavski and Brecht). Directing and coordinating school productions, showcases, and performances, encouraging wide participation from students. Mentoring students and providing constructive feedback to help them develop their performance and analytical skills. Collaborating with the Arts faculty to enhance the profile of drama within the school and wider community. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this rewarding position, you should have: A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related performing arts field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE. Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary school level, with expertise at GCSE and A-Level.
