Role Overview
As an Assistant Harvesting Manager, you will work closely with the Harvest Manager to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of harvesting processes. Your responsibilities include optimizing pick rates, overseeing planning and organization, and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and food safety across facilities. Candidates should have proven experience in Harvest or Food Production management, especially in leading large teams, and possess excellent communication skills to drive performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a team of 100 staff in a fresh produce production environment.
* Maximize efficiency in harvesting operations.
* Monitor and enforce Health & Safety standards.
* Provide training and development opportunities for supervisors and staff.
Ideal Candidate
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a fresh produce or production environment, ideally in harvesting or technical roles.
* A proactive leader with a results-driven approach, capable of motivating teams through growth and change.
