Due to the continued growth of our ground engineering team, we are seeking Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists to join our Newcastle office, located in the city centre. You will have the opportunity to push boundaries, develop new skills, and work on high-profile projects, including urban developments, infrastructure improvements, energy transition initiatives, environmental enhancements, and climate resilience projects.

The Opportunity
Within the Ground Engineering team, you will utilize your technical and professional skills to interpret and characterize ground conditions, develop and supervise ground investigations, perform geotechnical analysis, and develop solutions to geotechnical challenges. You will produce high-quality design deliverables, reports, and presentations across various markets and sectors. You will also actively pursue professional development to hone your skills and obtain relevant qualifications. Collaborating with a diverse team of ground engineering professionals, you will support excellence and innovation in client deliverables. A good understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering applications in the built environment, along with critical thinking skills to assess the buildability of designs, is essential.

Is this role right for you?
We are seeking individuals who:
* Are working towards chartership with a relevant institution.
* Have experience as a geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist, including geotechnical deliverables such as desk studies, ground investigation scopes, interpretative reports, and geotechnical design (e.g., shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, site development).
* Are excellent communicators, capable of report writing and presentations, collaborative and enthusiastic team players, with an inquisitive mindset and a desire to learn and advance their careers.
