JPMC's Assurance Operations is expanding its Purple Team with an experienced Purple Team Operator specializing in supporting Purple Team engagements and operating in cloud environments. The role involves collaborating with the Cybersecurity Operations Center (SOC) to perform offensive activities and research as part of Purple Team efforts. The candidate should have a background in network exploitation, Red Team, and Purple Team assessments, with knowledge of networking, threats, vulnerabilities, attack methods, incident response, threat hunting, and penetration testing tools.
This position may require access to High Security Access (HSA) systems, subject to background checks and screenings before and during employment.
Qualifications:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices, risk management, threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response
* Experience analyzing vulnerabilities, threats, and architectural designs, producing reports and sharing intelligence
* 3+ years in cloud-based security environments (AWS, Azure) and in penetration testing, Red Team/Purple Team operations, or related fields
* Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux/Unix/Mac), vulnerability exploitation, offensive security tools (e.g., Cobalt Strike, Metasploit), networking fundamentals, and incident response
* Preferred: Security certifications (OSCP, CREST, SANS), malware techniques, scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl, C, C++, C#, Java), and experience with security tools and presenting findings
* Ability to collaborate effectively and work within Agile frameworks
