Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to provide essential care and support to customers in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and knowledge of care, and how best to support customers to be able to live happily, healthily and as independently as possible at home.
This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our customers, enabling them to maintain their independence while receiving the care they require.
Responsibilities
* Assist customers with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
* Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Monitor customers health status and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for customers.
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, if and when required, ensuring safety at all times.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Engage customers in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.
Requirements
* Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as assisted living, or healthcare is essential.
* Ability to communicate and interact with your customers and istent to their needs and preferences.
* Ability to create and follow care plans tailored to individual customer requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers, families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their dignity and independence.
* Resilience and flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
* Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
* A DBS on the update service is desirable.
* A keen desire to learn
* Must be reliable and responsive, able to work autonomously and part of a team.
