About the role
Within our Financial Services Risk practice, the Banking Non-Financial Risk & Compliance team works with our banking and capital markets clients on their most pressing risk and regulatory programmes. This is an exciting time to join the growing team of individuals covering retail, wholesale and capital markets. We work across Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Sustainability functions.

You will be passionate about client service and the fast-paced changing nature of the banking sector. We are particularly interested in individuals who embrace tech-enabled ways of working and are excited about the potential of AI and other transformative technologies.
What your days will look like:
Recent projects have included:
1. Governance reviews and remediation
2. Risk and controls framework reviews and remediation
3. Design and implementation of 1st and 2nd line functions in the Finance, Risk and Compliance space covering business processes, controls Information technology enablement (incl. IT general controls)
4. Broad ranging transformation initiatives within the Finance, Risk and Compliance functions
5. Technology deployment support including ERP and CMS
6. GRC implementations and controls environment enhancement
7. Sustainability reporting support and operating model design
8. Regulatory reviews and remediation
You will take a leading role across a range of projects to build a broad range of expertise and be passionate about delivering value and insights to your clients. You'll invest time in building your client relationship network and thrive on taking on new challenges in unfamiliar situations.
This role is for you if you have:
9. Experience working within financial services risk and control projects either from a consulting, banking or auditing background
10. Broad understanding of requirements in relation to risk management and control frameworks
11. Experience working with senior stakeholders, developing effective working relationships and providing insightful management information
12. Technical and practical experience related to non-financial risk management, sustainability and/or controls (such as review and design of controls, Sarbanes-Oxley preferred)
13. A willingness to learn new skills and help develop and innovate new client propositions
14. A proven track record of working successfully with teams to deliver change projects, including monitoring engagement progress and budgets
15. Experience managing small teams of junior staff and contributing to the development of your own and the team's technical acumen
16. Strong commercial awareness, sound reporting skills and experience leading teams whilst working under your own initiative
17. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (prior experience in visual presentation and report writing is preferred) to effectively communicate key messages to different levels of stakeholders
18. Ability to work under pressure, deal with ambiguity and be agile across a range of projects in financial services
19. Ability to apply good judgement during engagements and escalate issues appropriately
20. Strong attention to detail, including robust analysis and presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Tableau)
