Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Court Team to work full time based in Sutton.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker job is up to £44,684 annum.
Responsibilities:
1. Hold a social work qualification and be registered with the relevant regulatory body, maintaining the requirements to remain registered.
2. Ensure that all vulnerable people are safeguarded from abuse and that all statutory functions, local policies, and procedures are adhered to in a timely manner, with case recordings kept up to date.
3. Be highly organised, able to work within a performance management framework, producing timely, high-quality work using various forms of information technology to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and standards.
4. Remain up to date with emerging case law to inform practice, upholding principles of human rights and practicing in a culturally competent manner.
5. Apply social work theory, models, best practices, and methods with a specific focus on systemic and strengths-based approaches.
6. Work in partnership with individuals, applying professional curiosity, critical thinking, analysis, and evidence-based research to form professional opinions and translate these into documentation and plans.
7. Use professional power and authority appropriately to ensure safeguarding and protection of individuals' rights.
8. Collaboratively work with individuals, colleagues, partner agencies, and communities, ensuring that the voice, wishes, and preferences of individuals are recorded and considered in professional decisions.
9. Demonstrate reflective practice, identifying limitations, biases, or tensions, and seek supervision or guidance when necessary.
10. Practice in accordance with the professional code of ethics and uphold social work and council values, acting on identified continuing professional development needs.
Requirements:
1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Social Work England registered.
