This position in the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service aims to offer career progression within the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) role.
The role will sit in our Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (NHS TT) stepped care service delivering Step 2 interventions in accordance with NICE Guidance.
The post holder will offer evidence-based Guided Self-help, computerised CBT and psychoeducational groups.
The role will involve supporting the PWP Team Leads with development and implementation of service improvement plans and performance monitoring. Support may include the requirement to undertake some line management as required,
The post holder will also be responsible for the clinical supervision and case management of both trainee and qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.
The post will sit in the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Talking Therapy Service, which is part of the Primary Care and Wellbeing CDS / Brighton Division in Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
To provide case management and clinical supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners
To maintain high professional standards and attend clinical and managerial supervision
To support the PWP Team Leads in managing the waiting lists and systems for Step 2 assessments and interventions.
To ensure accurate maintenance of clinical records and outcome measures on the clinical data system, and support staff in maintaining accurate records.
To ensure patient satisfaction questionnaires and service reviews are completed
To support the implementation of step care model of delivery of psychological interventions to clients within a primary care setting in line with NICE guidelines.
To work with the PWP Leads in the ongoing development and support of best practice and innovation within the Step 2 Team.
To provide high volume low intensity short term treatments in accordance with the NHS TT model.
To undertake initial assessments and gather sufficient information to assess risk /complexity of clients' needs, including drug and alcohol use, current and past medical psychiatric history, and biosocial aspects of the clients situation, making onward referral as necessary.
