To provide support for a 12-year-old male child with a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD.
Main Duties
We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to enable this child to access social and leisure activities within the local community; he enjoys being outdoors playing football, tennis and horse riding.
The young person’s autism means he can be anxious in new and busy situations. He can at times act impulsively therefore, close support and encouragement will be needed.
Hours 5 hours per week = 20 hours over a 4-weekly period.
Rate of pay
£13.09 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be met by the employer.
Person Specification
The successful applicant must:
· Have experience and a positive understanding about children who have disabilities.
· Have a genuine interest in working with children with complex needs.
· Have a high degree of initiative.
· Be punctual and reliable as the child cannot be left unsupervised.
· Be flexible.
· Have a happy, positive and caring nature.
· Respect confidentiality.
Full, clean driving licence required and must be insured for business use.
The successful candidate will require an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS), cost to be met by employer. Services
