What you'll be doing?
Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.
While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don't: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You'll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.
Reporting to the Senior Information Security Manager, the Security Awareness and Advocacy Lead will own and operate the user security awareness and advocacy programme, creating engaging content, coordinating testing (e.g. phishing simulations) and building a champions network to measurably improve secure behaviours across the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
Develop a multi‑year awareness strategy and content calendar aligned to risk priorities and business goals.
Design and deliver training modules, micro‑learning, campaigns and leadership briefings; leverage L&D platforms and Internal Comms channels.
Run phishing simulations and behavioural tests ethically; track metrics (click rate, report rate) and implement targeted interventions.
Establish and grow a security champions community; provide toolkits, talking points and recognition programmes.
Embed awareness in lifecycle events (onboarding, role change, project go‑live) and key processes (policy updates, incident lessons learned).
Ensure accessibility, inclusivity and localisation of content; manage vendor relationships and budgets.
Report programme effectiveness to leadership via KRI/KPI dashboards and narrative insights; iterate based on feedback and analytics.
Coordinate crisis communications templates and playbooks for rapid, consistent messaging during incidents.
The above details illustrative duties, and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to business needs.

What You'll Need
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
Background in learning design, communications or behaviour‑change programmes within technology/security contexts.
Strong written and visual communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics.
Experience operating awareness platforms and phishing simulation tools.
Data‑driven mindset with ability to measure and demonstrate behavioural outcomes
Stakeholder engagement, creativity and adaptability.
