Our client, a Top-100 UK law firm, is looking for to build a pool of Public Inquiry Paralegals who would be available to provide support on an ongoing ad-hoc basis. This represents an excellent opportunity to support a highly regarded practice on a range of high-quality and interesting matters. Paralegals who express interest in this role will be prioritised for interim Public Inquiry opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting on high-volume document review and e-disclosure using Relativity
* Conducting privilege review and redaction and identifying items of search
* Analysing and summarising third-party documents to determine their relevance and degree of importance
* Supporting ongoing legal operations and legal project management
* Handling FOI requests, SARs, and managing review, redaction, and disclosure
* Providing witness support and drafting witness statements / submissions
* Media horizon scanning and tracking
* Carrying out critical legal research
* Providing board briefing updates and providing updates to internal review
Key Requirements:
* Hybrid to a central London office
* Completion of a qualifying UK legal study (ie, LLB, GDL, MA Conversion, or SQE)
* Previous document review experience of at least 6 months
* Previous experience on a Public Inquiry is highly desirable
* All candidates invited to join the bench would be required to undergo BPSS checks, in view of later undergoing SC (Security Clearance)
