The post holder will be expected to work autonomously in managing the day-to-day delivery of the administration service and Dental Nurses. This will include:
* Using initiative and managing queries autonomously, escalating concerns as appropriate.
* Staying up to date with national government guidance and guidelines, offering this guidance as advice when appropriate.
* Handling significant quantities of confidential and business-sensitive information on behalf of the Service.
* Responsibility for personal development and setting personal goals and objectives as part of the health board appraisal process.
Main duties of the job
* Work autonomously, using own initiative to resolve issues, investigate queries, and make judgements upon their resolution.
* Coordinate and arrange a variety of service and management meetings on behalf of the Manager and the Service, liaising with internal/external agencies and disciplines.
* Discuss and agree with colleagues the way forward to effectively plan, implement, and manage changes within the administration service, following guidance and procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.
* Act as the key point of contact for all business-related issues within the service, ensuring effective liaison and communication with various stakeholders, passing on information clearly and appropriately.
* Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and line management of the Administration team, ensuring processes are followed and services are accessible in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a related area.
* Proficient in IT software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Electronic Diaries, and Internet.
* Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and present reports in various formats.
* Experience with Welsh Clinical Portal (WCP) and Welsh Patient Administration Services (WPAS).
* Knowledge of Dental Services.
Experience
* Experience in Business Support Management.
* Experience managing staff and operational activities.
* Understanding of data protection, information governance, and confidentiality legislation.
* Strong organizational skills and managing conflicting demands.
* Experience with E-Rosters and working within the NHS.
* Experience in logistics and report writing, with strong IT skills.
