As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, you will participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Local Authority Children's Services, Early Years Providers, Schools and Education Establishments, and other services. You will be required to work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19, to provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and supporting children, young people and families.
We are looking for one enthusiastic and motivated Public Health Staff Nurses 0 - 19 focusing on the 5 - 19 yrs caseload, to join our Bournemouth central Team based in Southbourne. This is a year-round post of 30hr hours per week. The core team hours are 0830 - 1630 with no weekend working.
Main duties of the job
As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0-19, working to the Healthy Child Programme you will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Children's Services, family Hubs, Schools and other Health Care providers, providing services in response to identified needs, including supporting the delivery of ParentLine.
You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and packages of care to peopleon an allocated caseload; promoting independence and autonomy; working within amulti-disciplinary team.
You will have advance own clinical knowledge, skill and competence based on current evidencethrough educational programmes.
You will evaluate care, taking appropriate action leading to improvement in quality standards through clinical audit, and contributing to root cause analysis and dealing withcomplaints.
You will provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.

Person Specification
Knowledge, skills and training
* Membership of the relevant Professional Body
* Evidence of recent professional development in an up to date portfolio
* Clear understanding of the national children's agenda and key public health policy drivers
* Clear knowledge of Safeguarding Children and adults
* Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessors training
Job specific experience
* Experience of developing programmes of care for an individual or groups of patients/clients and of providing advice
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively
* Recent previous experience within a community setting
* Recent previous experience within a comparable role
Managerial and supervisory experience
* Experience of contributing to the management of change
* Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
IT and resources
* Able to evaluate data and produce reports using Microsoft Excel and Word
* Experience of using electronic patient / service user record systems
* Able to effectively manage available resources in the pursuit of quality service provision ensuring a safe environment
