The Role: Project Coordinator
We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join a fast-growing organisation operating within the utilities and power infrastructure sector. This Project Coordinator role is central to the smooth delivery of multiple projects, acting as the link between clients, site teams, and internal management to ensure work is planned, resourced, and delivered efficiently.
As a Project Coordinator, you will manage day-to-day project activity, oversee documentation, communicate with stakeholders, and proactively resolve issues before they impact delivery. This is a busy, varied role suited to a highly organised Project Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, reactive environment and enjoys having real ownership over their workstream.
Main Responsibilities:
* Organise and manage all project-related paperwork, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, clarifying objectives, requirements, and timescales
* Allocate work to operational teams based on authorisation, competency, and availability
* Manage internal and external enquiries, escalating complex issues where required
* Proactively manage incoming project emails and correspondence
* Ensure materials are requested in advance where not supplied by the client
* Attend operational meetings to review progress and upcoming requirements
* Identify and escalate project risks to management to prevent delays
* Work closely with other Project Coordinators and managers to allocate resources effectively
* Raise invoices as project milestones are completed, ensuring documentation is submitted
* Provide cover and support to other departments during holidays or sickness
* Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards
* Support general administrative and coordination tasks as required
Skills / Experience:
* Previous experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar coordination role
* Experience managing projects from conception through to delivery
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confident problem-solver with the ability to manage challenges and resolve issues
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project-related systems
* Experience with invoicing, tracking, and job administration
* SSSTS qualification (desireable)
* Emergency First Aid, Manual Handling, or similar certifications (advantageous)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary & Working Hours:
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
