Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School – High Peak
Location: High Peak (Glossop area) | Start: September 2025 | Pay: £90–£100 per day | Contract: Full-time
A secondary school in the High Peak area is looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to support students struggling with behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction. You’ll join a strong pastoral team committed to helping every student succeed, no matter their background or challenges.
Working closely with teaching and SEN staff, you’ll support targeted students both in and out of class. You will help implement behavioural strategies, track pupil progress, and support students in making positive choices that allow them to thrive in the classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing one-to-one and group mentoring to pupils
* Supporting reintegration into lessons after exclusions or removals
* Helping students develop emotional literacy and behaviour awareness
* Working with external agencies and internal inclusion staff
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in youth work, mentoring, or behaviour support. Resilience, empathy, and good humour are essential qualities for this role, along with the ability to form meaningful and respectful relationships with teenagers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
