Role Overview

RPS are seeking an experienced CCTV Investigation Crew Leader to lead a 2-person team, carrying out CCTV surveys of the drainage network for our clients across Scotland. The salary for this role is negotiable depending on experience. Overtime rates and benefits are available.


About The Team

RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. Our Water Consultancy business has a range of prestigious AMP8 programmes leading into AMP9 and beyond.


About You

As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as CCTV Investigation Crew Leader is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects. You will have a substantial opportunity to contribute towards optioneering, outline, and detailed design expertise across various frameworks. Our scope of work encompasses a wide range of technically demanding projects in the field of Wastewater Infrastructure.


Your Responsibilities

* This role focuses on using state-of-the-art CCTV survey equipment to survey the sewer network to identify defects and provide data to clients. Previous experience in a related role is essential.
* Maintain proficiency in working in confined spaces and highway working; ideally hold a Confined Spaces Certificate and NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding qualification.
* Engage in customer-facing activities, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Maintain strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions and assist with manual handling of manhole chamber covers and other heavy items. Be flexible with working hours, including occasional Saturday work, early starts, and late finishes. Overtime rates apply.


Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

* CCTV experience is essential.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to complete paperwork accurately and annotate plans.
* Experience in a drainage-related role with the ability to navigate the drainage network using GIS mapping.
* Detailed knowledge of public sewer networks and domestic drainage systems.
* Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities.
* Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility.


Qualifications

* OS19X trained.
* Full UK driving licence.


Health And Safety

* Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers.
* Working in all weather conditions (night work may be required).
* You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways.
