Job Overview
This role is ideal for passionate individuals with lived experience of mental health services, leadership skills, and a desire to work within a new, innovative care model that emphasizes person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused support.
As the Clinical Lead, you will embed lived experience into clinical decision-making, service development, and support delivery, promoting a holistic, community-based approach that values choice and ownership.
Main Duties
* Provide clinical leadership and management for Peer supporters within the Copeland 24/7 hub.
* Support the integration of lived experience expertise into multidisciplinary teams.
* Implement and monitor appraisal, supervision, and education programs for Peer supporters.
* Lead clinical audits, practice development, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Promote positive images of mental health experiences and support community education and training.
Working for Our Organization
We are establishing the Hope Haven, a 24/7 community mental health support service in Whitehaven, funded by NHS England. This initiative aims to transform mental health care by integrating health, social, and community services, providing accessible, comprehensive support for individuals and families.
Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent, with additional training in working with peers to master level
* Coaching or CBT training
Knowledge/Experience
* Extensive lived experience and at least 3 years working with mental health services
* Leadership, training, evaluation, and supervision experience
* Risk management and change management experience
Skills
* Leadership in community mental health settings
* Strong communication skills
