Overview
Here is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Deputy Team Leader - Practice Education, Theatres. You will assist and support the practice education team in theatres in the facilitation and provision of education and training of all groups of the multidisciplinary theatre team in order to provide high standards of clinical practice and patient care.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the theatre manager and matron, as well as the practice education team leader, to develop and deliver education strategies, encourage effective utilisation of resources and develop relations across site practice education teams to develop and maintain a standard training programme.
* Assist in the promotion and implementation of evidence-based practice.
* Participate in clinical duties, working alongside learners to maintain own clinical skills and to monitor/audit the competencies of other staff.
* Deputise for the team leader as required.
* Provide high standards of teaching to theatre staff and support the development of skilled practitioners within the multidisciplinary team.
* Support and lead in the provision of education and training for all groups within the theatre team to ensure high standards of clinical practice and patient care.
Requirements/Qualifications
* Expert in theatres with high standards and excellent clinical skills with the ability to teach these skills to other staff.
* Passion for teaching and maintaining high standards, recognising where intervention is required.
* Ability to promote and implement evidence-based practice.
* Good communication skills and excellent people skills for high-stress situations.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and learners.
