We’re working with a well-established client who is seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join their busy Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a passion for finance to play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting cash flow, and ensuring smooth financial operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Managing a shared finance inbox and supporting the Sales Ledger function with day-to-day administration
* Accurately processing sales invoices and credit notes in line with company procedures
* Allocating payments received and reconciling customer accounts
* Monitoring aged debt and following up on outstanding balances to ensure timely payment
* Liaising with customers and internal teams to resolve invoice queries promptly
* Preparing regular reports on customer accounts, receipts, and outstanding balances for management review
* Assisting with month-end processes and contributing to continuous improvements within the finance function
What We’re Looking For:
* Solid experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk, Accounts Receivable Assistant, or in a similar finance role
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal teams
* Strong organisational abilities and exceptional attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience using accounting or ERP systems
* The ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines
* A good understanding of invoicing, payment allocation, and reconciliation processes
