Charge Nurse

We are looking for a Charge Nurse for Lambourn Grove, a continuing care unit for people with complex dementia. We need a dynamic and enthusiastic team to join our staff.

Main duties of the job

• Running the unit
• Taking charge
• Delegating
• Completing shift allocation
• Taking and giving handovers
• Prioritising
• Completing shift planners
• Allocating staff
• Teaching students
• Serving as supervisor to students

Job responsibilities

• Admitting and discharging service users
• Completing paperwork for service users – dementia care plan, risk assessment, HONOS, waterlow, dysphagia and nutrition, falls, moving and handling assessments

Educational achievements, qualifications and training

• RMN/RLDN or Dip/ Bsc (Hons) in Mental Health/ Learning Disability Nursing ENB 998 / Preceptorship and Mentorship.

Experience

• Proven post registration experience at Band 5
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Experience of working in other clinical settings

£41,957 to £50,387 a year pro rata (inclusive of 5% HCAs).
