Positive Behaviour Mentor Required for School in Dagenham - up to £100 per day A primary school in Dagenham with an Additional Resource Provision is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support children aged 5-11 years who have been diagnosed with Autism, Social, Emotional Mental Health and Complex Needs Applications for the position are welcome from candidates of ranging experience, and training will be provided, although previous experience working with students with SEMH, particularly attachment and trauma is preferable. Experience working with children with challenging behaviour is important and a strong sense of behaviour management is key. Your Role Supporting a range of vulnerable children ranging from Reception to KS2 Be able to appropriately calm children down and de-escalate Be able to effectively behaviour manage Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption Providing feedback to teachers and parents Be available - Full time - 8.30am - 4pm The ideal candidate Outgoing and mentoring manner Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils Why choose Engage Education?
