We are seeking a dedicated and organized Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Exeter. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of a housing portfolio, ensuring high standards of service for residents. This role involves coordinating housing operations, managing tenant relationships, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations and policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Monitoring and maintaining the condition of properties, coordinating with maintenance teams and contractors for timely repairs and upkeep.
2. Managing the leasing process, including preparing and renewing lease agreements, conducting move-in and move-out inspections, and ensuring lease compliance.
3. Ensuring adherence to relevant housing regulations, health and safety standards, and internal policies, keeping updated with legal changes.
4. Maintaining accurate records of tenant interactions, property conditions, and financial transactions; preparing reports for management and contributing to strategic planning.
5. Providing excellent customer service, addressing tenant issues and complaints with empathy and efficiency, fostering a positive living environment.
6. Supporting community initiatives and events to promote community spirit and build resident relationships.
7. Performing administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence, ensuring documentation accuracy and currency.
Requirements:
1. A relevant qualification in property management, housing, or business administration is advantageous.
2. Previous experience in housing management or a related field is essential.
3. Experience in coordinating roles or managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
5. Understanding of housing laws and regulations; familiarity with property management best practices.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months; if on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process.
9. Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check if not currently held.
