Job Title: Valuestream Services Manager

Business Area: Securities Services Technology

Location: Sheffield

Reports to: Head of Valuestream Services and Enablement

Role Purpose

The Value Stream Services Lead for Securities Services Technology is a strategic partner to the CIO, responsible for driving transformation, operational excellence, governance and standardisation across a global technology organisation. Leading a high-performing team supporting the MD – Custody, MD – Funds, Head of Production Solutions, Head of Valuestream Services and Enablement and Head of Production Services this role acts as a trusted advisor, enabling strategy execution, capability maturity, people and culture initiatives, and supporting the embedding of innovation (including AI) across the value stream.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Transformation

•Partner with the CIO and leadership team to shape and execute the Securities Services Transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with the bank's broader objectives.

•Lead and coordinate transformation initiatives, driving continuous improvement and capability maturity across the organisation.

•Act as a thought leader and advisor to MDs and snr stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on business priorities, risks, and opportunities.

Governance, Execution & Risk Management

•Oversee portfolio governance activities,, including performance reporting, and workforce strategy enablement for delivery of portfolio outcomes.

•Ensure robust governance frameworks and reporting up to CIB and Group Technology, with a focus on transparency, risk management, and delivery excellence.

•Manage special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CIO, including the adoption and embedding of AI and other emerging technologies.

People, Culture & Capability

•Champion a positive, inclusive culture that values diversity, collaboration, and innovation.

•Lead workforce planning, location strategy, and resource allocation to optimise delivery and support career development.

•Drive people and culture initiatives, including talent development, engagement, and recognition programmes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

•Serve as the primary interface between the CIO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication.

•Lead the planning and delivery of town halls, leadership offsites, and other key engagement forums.

•Foster strong relationships across the global Securities Services Technology community.

Operational Excellence & Special Projects

•Oversee the delivery of high-impact special projects, including technology innovation, regulatory change, and operational resilience.

•Identify and implement best practices, leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements XP:

•Significant xp in an IT Chief of Staff, IT business management, transformation delivery, or snr PMO role within technology or financial services.

•Proven track record of advising and influencing snr executives (CIO/MD/COO level).

•XP leading global teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Skills:

•Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.

•Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.

•High integrity, discretion, and a commitment to the banks values.

Qualifications:

•Degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

•Project/Programme Management certification (, PMP, Prince2) desirable.

•XP with AI, digital transformation, or innovation programmes is a plus.
