Role Overview
The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is responsible for preventing, detecting, and investigating economic crime across the NHS. The role involves supporting investigation teams and external partners by delivering training in digital evidence analysis, developing investigator understanding of eDiscovery workflows, and supporting the Digital Forensic Unit with evidence handling and auditing.
Main Responsibilities
1. Deliver training to internal and external investigators on the e-Discovery Platform and forensic best practices.
2. Assist investigators with digital evidence analysis in compliance with operational and legislative guidelines.
3. Represent NHSCFA in meetings and training sessions with external agencies.
4. Provide expert advice on evidence acquisition, coding, and reporting.
5. Develop training materials and learning resources for investigators.
6. Support DFU operations through technical tasks, maintenance, and audits.
7. Support onsite investigations and evidence transportation, with flexibility for outside normal hours.
8. Produce statements and testify in court as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Entry-level position based in Newcastle with a contract employment type. Candidates should have a background in digital forensics, evidence handling, or related fields, and be willing to work flexibly. The role requires adherence to quality standards and policies.
