Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology is recruiting a full time, permanent Teaching and Learning Coordinator who will support the smooth running of the undergraduate Teaching office.
Responsibilities
The post-holder supports the work of the Departments Teaching Office, coordinating all key areas of undergraduate student administration including course teaching on our Tripos, events, examinations, maintaining course-related Moodle sites and dealing with general enquiries. A key duty will be to act as Secretary to a number of committees ensuring the interface between Department and University committees and administrators. The post reports directly to the Department Administrator and works closely with the Head of Department and Deputy Head of Teaching. The role involves limited evening/weekend/bank holiday work during examination periods and other busy times. Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
Qualifications
• Educated to degree level or equivalent level of practical experience.
• Competent with standard software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases and online programmes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills with a proactive and flexible approach.
• Experience of working within higher education or prior experience at the University of Cambridge is an advantage.
