We are seeking a weekend Catering Assistant to enhance our catering provision for boarders, staff and occasional weekend events at Dover College. The successful candidate will provide a high quality service and assist in the smooth running of the catering operation. This includes food preparation, all aspects of food service, cleaning, organising and other related duties.
Ideally you should have experience of working in a similar post, or have some previous catering experience, and good knowledge of food preparation, food hygiene and health & safety requirements. Working as part of a small team is crucial, as is the ability use your initiative and be reliable and flexible in your approach. A uniform will be provided.
The role is part-time working approximately 16 hours per week term time only (33 weeks per year), usually Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 10am - 7pm. Some flexibility will be required. The hourly rate is £12.21, with an extensive range of additional benefits. Optional additional hours may be offered for events throughout the year.
