In this position, you will be responsible for offering overall product expertise, application knowledge and technical support for our ATS Business Unit related solutions and services portfolio. The main mission is to ensure successful application, implementation, qualification, and use of our products, by supporting Sales and Field Application Specialists. In this role, you serve as the point of contact to all scientific inquiries for the assigned product portfolio funneled through by the sales team as well as via direct inquiries from product end users. You support pre- and post-sales activities for the assigned product and services portfolio. In addition, you identify potential causes of problems related to the use of products by customers and proposes relevant solutions using personal scientific experience, internal knowledge, and data as well as customer feedback.
We are looking for a Scientific Support Professional for the Application Services department at Sartorius Albumedix Limited. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for scientific enquiries for the assigned product portfolio funneled through by the sales team as well as direct inquiries from product end users in our ATS Business Unit. You will work closely with Sales and Field Application Specialists to ensure successful application, implementation, qualification and use of our products at our customer sites. You will also provide solutions to issues customers are facing with the products using scientific experience, internal knowledge, data and customer feedback.

This position is full-time on a permanent basis. It is an onsite role in central Nottingham, and the site is easy to get to, being a short walk from the train station and tram stop.
Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities
* On a daily basis you will answer scientific and technical questions from prospects/customers and Sales colleagues concerning the use of the business unit products, in accordance with quality and deadline requirements. End goal is product adoption on customer end (via email, via teleconference)
* Delivering technical presentations of Sartorius ATS products, technology and services to end customers and Sales.
* Customer Technical support and consulting in the application use of products and development of procedures during customer's visit to Sartorius location or employee's visit to customer location.
* Troubleshoot technical issues for end customers (independently or in collaboration with senior colleagues)
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Sales colleagues, as collaboration is key to ensuring a high level of satisfaction on customer end.
* Participating in events at home and abroad (trade fairs, conferences, customer visits, etc.)
* Conduct trainings on the application use and technology of Sartorius ATS products for end customer and internal stakeholders (independently)
* Reporting to product managers, R&D colleagues, and supervisors about competitive technologies and important information on product usage
* Identifying opportunities for improvement in technical and marketing materials (application notes, guidelines, technical notes, posters, etc.)
* Conduct literature reviews, update technical knowledge bases and collaborate with marketing and R&D.
* Conducting initial stages of quality complaint procedures (independently)
* Use of CRM (Salesforce) and writing documents in a scientific manner
* Other adhoc duties
What Will Convince Us
* MSc degree in Life Sciences i.e.: biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, cell biology etc.
* Process development or research experience in biopharmaceutical industry or in university laboratory
* Knowledge or experience in cell and gene therapy
* Strong customer focus with great communication skills
* Highly organised and ability to multitask
* Team player, ability to interact with people across different functions internally, whilst begin comfortable working independently
* Scientific writing expertise
* High problem-solving skills to advise people on how to improve their results, whilst maintaining impeccable customer service experience
* Use of CRM
* Willingness to travel up to 30% for face-to-face communications
