Management Accountant - Kingston, Surrey - £42,500 plus study support - Hybrid
We’re working with a growing SME business based in Kingston, Surrey, looking to hire an ambitious Management Accountant to join their close‑knit finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone part‑qualified (or actively studying) who wants hands‑on exposure and genuine progression in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
* Analyse financial data to support business decision‑making
* Support year‑end processes and liaise with external auditors
* Contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies
* Provide ad hoc support to the Financial Controller as required
About You
* Studying towards ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a similar role within an SME or fast‑paced environment
* Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
* Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
* A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to take ownership
