Senior Architect / Associate – International Projects (London-based)
Office based in Clapham High St. but shortly moving to Islington
A leading international design studio is looking for experienced Senior Architects or Associates to join its London office and contribute to a growing portfolio of culturally grounded, globally ambitious projects. With a strong design ethos that integrates local context, environmental sensitivity, and narrative richness, the practice is particularly active across the Middle East and other international markets.
This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact architecture that spans sectors including cultural, educational, hospitality, commercial, and residential, each shaped by a deep understanding of place, people, and purpose.
The practice operates across multiple international hubs, blending architecture, urban design, and social research. It promotes a holistic approach to the built environment—seeing architecture not just as a singular building but as an active part of the urban and cultural landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of large-scale international projects, with a focus on the Middle East and other global regions
* Oversee all stages of project development, from early concept through to construction and completion (dependent on project scope)
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external consultants to realise innovative and culturally responsive designs
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure seamless delivery
* Drive and lead design reviews, workshops, and presentations both internally and externally
* Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative studio culture
* Contribute to practice-wide design strategy and business development initiatives
* Ensure the integration of social, cultural, and environmental narratives into all aspects of project delivery

What We're Looking For
* Senior Architect or Associate-level professional with substantial international project experience
* ARB-registered with a strong architectural background across diverse project typologies
* A portfolio that demonstrates both design excellence and cultural sensitivity
* Confident team leader with experience managing consultants, clients, and complex stakeholder environments
* Strong communication skills and an eye for detail
* Eligibility to work in the UK
