Environmental Health Officer- ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND CONTAMINATED LAND Duties and responsibilities* To undertake inspections of premises, business operations, construction sites and permitted processes as required by statute and/or the Authorities' policies and procedures, and in line with legal requirements and other statutory/non-statutory controls to ensure a satisfactory resolution, including any enforcement action necessary.* To write IPPC reports, risk rate premises.* To review permits submitted* To complete permit variations* Where required, support technical officers in statutory nuisance investigations. Qualifications and experience * Must have a Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent)* Must have knowledge and experience in contaminated land* Must have knowledge and experience in planning consultations and deliver high-quality responses.* Must have knowledge and experience of Local Authority air pollution control legislation and standards/guidance.* Must have knowledge and experience of Statutory nuisance legislation and investigation processes.* An appreciation and understanding of noise monitoring equipment and monitoring protocols/standards.* Must have demonstrable experience in environmental protection/ pollution control and statutory nuisance General Information * The post holder will be required to comply with the organisation's policies and procedures.* The Job Description covers the main duties ...
