The Estate joiner will work as part of a team (currently of 4). There will however be a requirement to work alone as well as with the full team, or just one other member. Estate staff are required to wear uniform and represent the high standards of the Estate at all times. Joinery workFabrication of windows Fabrication of doorsFabrication of other bespoke joinery e.g staircases, bannistersGeneral use of workshop woodworking machinesRepairs to external joinery prior to painting, to include doors, windows, barge boards, soffits.Repairs to roof timbers prior to re roofing or as part of ongoing repairs.Repairs internally to damaged property, skirting boards, doors, windows, window boards, floorboardsStripping out property internally – kitchens, bathrooms, carpetsFitting kitchen unitsFitting (or removing) stud wallingFabrication and erection of signsFabrication of ramps for disabled accessFitting and / or changing locks on doors and windowsFurniture repairsRepair of fitted furniture such as wardrobes, bathroom cabinets Building workPlasterboardingAssisting others with re roofingPointingRe bedding of manholes Fitting and / or adjusting rainwater goods General workCollecting / delivering items to siteTidying workshop and maintenance department yardBasic maintenance of Estate vehicles Maintenance of Estate tools and woodworking machinesClearing and cleaning blocked drainsPreparation of risk assessmentsAttendance of training courses as requiredAttendance at health and safety and other staff meetingsAssistance with moving furniture and / or setting up for events.Assisting sub contractors, plumbers, electricians and others.
