Due to continued business growth, we are recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer for one of our rapidly growing clients in the West Midlands that operates across a number of sectors including Construction, Highways, Rail and commercial build.Job DescriptionWorking as a senior member of a technical team within a fast-growing company, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with clients and junior members of staff for design packages from early feasibility and costing stages through to the completion and checking of formal design packages. Alongside supporting the teams existing experience the member of staff will have a pivotal role working with the technical director to help expand the company’s technical services and help make clients aware of these technical capabilities.ResponsibilitiesLeading and checking of formal design packagesWorking with clients and the internal team at early stage feasibility designProviding technical support to junior members of the teamAttending client meetingsAssessing and coordinating geotechnical testing requirements on siteDriving development of in house technical services alongside technical directorConducting professional field investigationCollaborate with the operations teams to draft methods statements, discuss design works, costings etc.Key skills and ExperienceDegree in geology/ civil engineering BEng, BSc or equivalentMSc in Geotechnical engineering or Engineering GeologyChartered with a relevant professional body Cgeol or ICE - Advantageous+5 years experience in a relevant civil engineering/ geotechnical engineering fieldKnowledge of current geotechnical softwareExperience in AutoCADExperience working closely with clients and stakeholder managementKnowledge of Eurocode/ British standard compliant design preferably with respect to retaining wallsInterview ProcessThis will position will require a 2 stage interview, 1st via teams and 2nd stage in person at our clients offices.Additional informationThis role can offer hybrid flexibility, company bonus paid annually.Ganymede is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
