Overview and Territory
The SLED Account Executive for the East Coast is a high-impact role responsible for driving market share across the nation’s most influential public sector corridor. This expansive territory spans the entire Atlantic seaboard, from the tech hubs of New England through the Mid-Atlantic power centers, down to the rapidly growing Southeast markets.
Success requires a sophisticated navigator of the public sector: someone who can pivot between the legacy modernization needs of the North and the rapid infrastructure scaling of the South. You will lead the charge in positioning our solutions as the backbone for "Whole of State" cybersecurity and seamless citizen services across a diverse landscape of state, local, and education entities.
Responsibilities
* Responsibilities: Drive market share and position Saviynt solutions as the backbone for state and local government cybersecurity and citizen services across a broad East Coast territory.
* Relationship Development: Develop and scale relationships with executive decision-makers across Major Metros, State Capitols, Higher Ed & K-12, and procurement channels.
* Strategic Positioning: Align security and identity solutions with regional priorities and innovation agendas.
* State Resilience and Citizen Experience: Promote Whole of State frameworks and modernized digital identity for secure access to services.
* Procurement Mastery: Navigate East Coast purchasing vehicles (e.g., NASPO ValuePoint, NY OGS, MA CommBUYS, GSA Schedule 70, Florida STC) and manage the sales process end-to-end.
* Pipeline & Portfolio Management: Proactively hunt for net-new opportunities while managing a high-volume, fragmented territory with rigorous CRM forecasting.
* Presence & Travel: Maintain a consistent, visible presence across the coast, engaging with state CIOs, CISOs, and procurement leads.
Qualifications
* Full-Spectrum SLED Expertise: Proven track record of closing complex deals using diverse state-specific contract vehicles and the formal RFP/RFQ process across multiple East Coast jurisdictions.
* Funding Fluidity: Expert at identifying and capturing diverse funding streams, including state general funds, IIJA/SLTT federal grants, and university budgets.
* Multi-State Political Acumen: Ability to adapt sales strategies to the distinct legislative cycles, governance structures, and political climates from the Northeast to the Deep South.
* Academic Sector Savvy: Deep experience selling into governance models of large K-12 districts and higher education systems.
* Executive Presence: Comfortable engaging with C-level public sector leadership, translating technical security value into policy and mission outcomes.
* Entrepreneurial Drive: A high-energy owner mindset, collaborative yet competitive, focused on hitting revenue and gross profit quotas.

Role Requirements

* Onboarding Training: Complete security & privacy literacy and awareness training during onboarding and annually thereafter.
* Policy Adherence: Review and adhere to Information Security/Privacy Policies and Procedures, including data classification, retention & handling, incident response, business continuity/disaster recovery, mobile device, account management, access control, personnel security, and privacy policies.
