Job Title: Interim Financial Controller

The purpose of this role is to support the growth of the business through the management of the day-to-day activities of the accounting function, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an efficient system of accounting records, and ensuring timely and accurate management reporting and analytical insight to the senior management team.
This is a 6-month contract role to start as soon as possible.
Description
Responsibilities for this Interim Financial Controller role will include, but are not limited to:
Own the production of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including the production of a quarterly consolidation, to the management of the company and the companys investors and lenders.
Organise and oversee the companys cash management, including invoicing to clients, payments to suppliers, lenders and shareholders and optimise the cash management and flow of funds through the business.
Working with the Finance Director, update the management team and investors on the outlook for the yea,r together with an assessment of risks and opportunities.
Ensure the year-end audits are undertaken smoothly, minimising adjustments and control points raised by the auditors. Produce periodic accounts for each managed centre.
Produce appropriate supporting schedules for tax compliance and work with tax advisors to ensure timely filing of tax submissions, including VAT and corporation tax.
Support, develop, and contribute to business initiatives that create value for the business, its customers, and shareholders.
Manage and develop the Accounts Payable and Credit Control team to deliver all functional objectives set and support each team member in achieving their full potential.
Manage CIS reporting.
Ensure all business centre AGMs, GMs, and DGMs have sufficient financial awareness and understanding to meet their objectives, providing training as required.
Respond promptly to all queries from business centres, managers and customers.
Oversee payroll function.
Various ad-hoc duties as requested by the CFO.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this Interim Financial Controller role include, but are not limited to:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with several years post-qualified experience within a fast-paced service business.
Experience in leading a team, managing people, and all aspects of their development.
Extensive experience in all aspects of statutory and management reporting.
Demonstrable evidence of success in reviewing and introducing new processes and systems.
