Business Development Manager – UK Distribution South West
Sika is a specialty chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection in the building sector and industry.
About the role
Field salesperson to join our South West team, covering central south coast (DT, BH, SO & PO) stretching up to Gloucester and Oxford. The candidate will ideally live in and around the BA, SN, SP or RG postcodes. The successful candidate will be responsible for all independent and buying group customers within the territory.
Responsibilities
* Maximise sales and profitability through education and relationship management of customers and potential customers within the Distribution Market.
* Achieve sales and margin budget for the region.
* Develop strategies to achieve company targets.
* Grow market share across the independent and buying group Distribution Market.
* Measure success using the CRM system.
* Participate in personal development through training.
* Work with a team of 4 Business Development Managers and exemplify proactive, relationship‑building, enthusiastic and goal‑oriented behaviour.
Qualifications
* Strong field sales experience within the construction industry.
* Strategic management of area to maximise sales and profitability.
* Ability to develop strong customer relationships; industry knowledge advantageous.
* IT literate with working knowledge of CRM systems.
* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
* Self‑motivated and results driven.
* Commitment to professional and personal development from day one.
What we need from you
* Clean, current driving licence.
* Minimum of 2 years field sales experience.
* Proven track record of delivering results.
* Must live in the area to be covered.
* Must be IT literate and have working knowledge of CRM systems.
* Industry/competitor knowledge advantageous.
