Principal Metallurgist opportunity working for a rapidly growing lithium business promising to revolutionise the production of battery grade lithium in Europe.
Job Description
* The purpose of the role is to lead the development, scale-up and design of novel process technologies for extracting lithium from micaceous granites.
* The role is accountable for the successful integration of beneficiation process technologies into the process design for the project.
* Leading dialogue with external parties, design engineers, and project stakeholders in
* defining, specifying and de-risking the process technology that will deliver lithium carbonate product to the market.
* Leading the process development, scale-up and derisking of the comminution and beneficiation process technologies and operating conditions as they are transferred through to commercial implementation
Requirements
* University degree in Mineral, Process or Metallurgical Engineering
* Experience in the scale-up of minerals process technologies within a mining environment
* Experience in scaling process technology from bench to commercial scales
* Knowledge of process engineering design deliverables
* Experience in common process simulation softwares, such as MetSIM, JK SimMet, SysCAD,
* etc.
