JOB TITLE: Executive Assistant to UK Private Banking Director
LOCATION(S): Bristol, Hove, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Leeds
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days per week) in one of our office hubs mentioned above
About this opportunity
Working closely with the Private Banking Director to grow, shape and transform the business, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and get involved in a range of activities supporting the UKPB Leadership Team to deliver against our purpose and bold transformation journey.
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, motivated and enjoys working in a fast paced, high-pressured environment. You'll demonstrate good judgement plus excellent relationship building, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
We advocate hybrid working with an expectation to visit your nearest hub a minimum of 40% of the time. You'll ideally be based in one of nationally located Private Banking Strategic Hubs, and flexibility to travel to other hubs including London will be required with appropriate notice.
Key accountabilities
* Act on behalf of the UK Private Banking Managing Director where appropriate.
* Engage with and represent the UK Private Banking Managing Director in special or ad hoc projects.
* Lead all aspects of the office of the Managing Director, ensuring appropriate briefings ahead of key meetings / committees, diarising review of papers, monitoring & tracking the delivery of formal & informal actions and re-prioritising time in line with key priorities.
* Ensure the UKPB MDs office is appropriately represented and responsive, and acts as a role model for behaviours and culture. Effectively channelling the UKPB tone of voice in all communications.
* Solve complex problems, role modelling a flexible, innovative approach to identifying solutions that will delight our customers.
* Collaborate across UKPB and all Consumer Relationship teams, building and maintaining a strong network to deliver for our customers.
* Storytelling, writing communications and preparing presentations and papers, including Committee level, for the Director, across many topics.
* Maintain robust governance for UKPB Forums, Committees and other meetings, including the preparation of agendas, collation of papers and briefings as well as ensuring completion of actions.
* Manage and escalate risks where appropriate, and work with relevant Control partner(s) to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, implementing actions to protect the Group.
* Build trusted relationships with and partner the SLT and key stakeholders to ensure appropriate support and challenge is provided.
* Screen incoming information and communications, responding, rerouting and prioritising as appropriate from the UK Private Banking Managing Director’s inbox.
What you’ll need
* Strong organizational and time management skills: Lead all aspects of the office of the Managing Director, ensuring appropriate briefings ahead of key meetings, diarising review of papers, and monitoring & tracking the delivery of actions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Engage with and represent the UK Private Banking Managing Director in special or ad hoc projects, and effectively channel the UKPB tone of voice in all communications.
* Problem-solving and innovative thinking: Solve complex problems, role modelling a flexible, innovative approach to identifying solutions that will delight our customers.
* Governance and attention to detail: Maintain robust governance for UKPB Forums, Committees, and other meetings, including the preparation of agendas, collation of papers and briefings, and ensuring completion of actions.
* Stakeholder management and relationship building: Build trusted relationships with and partner the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and key stakeholders to ensure appropriate support and challenge is provided.
Desirable
* Domain knowledge in UK Private Banking (UKPB): Highly desirable to effectively support the UK Private Banking Managing Director and the leadership team.
