This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in civil engineering drafting and design to contribute to a wide range of projects including infrastructure, drainage, highways, and structural developments. Duties of a Civil Technician In this role you will be working within the engineering and design team to support project delivery. Reporting to senior engineers, you will be responsible for: Preparing detailed drawings, models, and technical documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Assisting engineers with the design of highways, drainage, and infrastructure projects. Producing accurate drawings from design sketches, layouts, and specifications. Maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Liaising with engineers, architects, and contractors to coordinate technical details. Supporting site inspections and surveys where required. Skills and Experience of a Civil Technician As a Civil Technician, you need to have experience with: HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Strong skills in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or MicroDrainage is advantageous. Previous experience working in an engineering consultancy or construction environment. It would be beneficial to the Civil Technician role if you also had: Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills. A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development. A full UK driving licence and willingness to support site-based work when needed.
