Job Responsibilities
1. Follow the department's working procedures and practices.
2. Repair damaged and worn mould equipment to a high standard using various engineering techniques such as spray welding, polishing, grinding, filing, and machining.
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure the repaired equipment meets the required specifications.
4. Modify mould equipment to maintain quality standards.
5. Carry out checks on mould equipment using visual and precision measuring techniques to ensure compliance with specifications.
6. Record daily work on job sheets for accurate documentation.
7. Monitor housekeeping in accordance with company hygiene rules.
8. Have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
9. Possess good knowledge of bench fitting techniques such as drilling, filing, polishing, and grinding.
10. Maintain a flexible working approach.
11. Experience working with metals such as steel, cast iron, and nickel.
12. Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
13. Use precision measuring equipment like micrometers competently.
14. Use hand tools such as air tools, files, and grinders proficiently.
15. Demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills.
16. Manual machine work (lathes/millers) is desirable.
17. Show a good attitude towards teamwork and learning.
What We Offer
* Salary based on Grade 6 of the harmonized pay scales. Salary min £31,658 - £37,806 max (dependent on shift).
