The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across the secondary age range, with a particular focus on learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to: Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support Help students access the curriculum and reach their learning goals Support social, emotional, and behavioural development Implement strategies in line with EHCP targets Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning About You We are looking for individuals who: Have proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting Ideally have experience supporting students with SEN, particularly those with EHCPs Are patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education Can build strong, positive relationships with young people Are confident working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals Have a proactive and nurturing approach to learning support The School This is a large, modern secondary school with a strong reputation for inclusive practice and academic ambition.
