As a Catering Assistant working across schools in the Ribble Valley and Preston area, you’ll enjoy term-time only hours, with no evening, weekend, or school holiday shifts – perfect for fitting around your lifestyle. This is a permanent, part-time position with a guaranteed 16.25 hours per week, and you’ll be providing essential cover across multiple school sites. Because of the travel involved, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Salary £12.60 Per hour | Permanent, Part Time, 16.25 hours per week (Term Time) | Covering Areas Ribble Valley & Preston | In this role, you will: Support various school kitchens by preparing, cooking, and serving healthy, balanced meals Help set up and clear down the dining area, including moving and arranging furniture Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all catering areas and equipment We’d love to hear from you if you: Are a team player with a positive attitude Have great customer service skills Can adapt quickly to different environments Have experience in catering or food preparation (preferred but not essential) Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 3.25 hours per day 16.25 hours per week – term time only Travel across Ribble Valley and Preston required (mileage allowance paid ) If you’re flexible, reliable, and enjoy working in a school environment, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
