Legal Secretary – Private Client
Location: Sudbury
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
We are working with a highly regarded law firm who are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Private Client department in their Sudbury office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, professional team with a strong reputation in Private Client work.
This role will be fully office-based, as the Fee Earner is working remotely and will require full secretarial support on site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing comprehensive secretarial support to a remote-working Private Client Fee Earner
• Drafting and preparing legal documents, letters, and correspondence
• Audio typing and digital dictation
• File management, including opening and closing of matters
• Liaising with clients and third parties via phone and email
• Diary management and appointment scheduling
• Assisting with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other Private Client matters
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary within Private Client law
• Confident using legal case management systems and digital dictation tools
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently, proactively and manage time effectively
• Comfortable supporting a Fee Earner who works remotely
