️Principal Solutions Architect/Security Architect
Bristol or Corsham (hybrid) approx. 3 days per week onsite
Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
£110,000 - £130,000 per annum
SC or DV Clearance
Our client is a medium sized SME in the Defence sector and are looking for a Principal level Solutions Architect to join their team, with a focus on Access Management and cyber security programmes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading small Architecture/Security teams, as well as leading the delivery of client projects, so this is an excellent opportunity to really make your mark in the industry and this client!
You must have experience in the Defence Sector/a cleared environment to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a Technical Architecture and Security Team who will deliver solutions with strategic impact to the Ministry of Defence and associated clients.
* Develop high level solution designs, transition states, roadmap and service catalogue.
* Run the Architecture Working Group.
* Engage with design authorities to support the design approvals process.
* Provide architectural oversight of, and support to, development team activities.
* Maintain and develop related policies and processes.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the customer, agree the scope with them and define technical tasks.
* Manage the team, including setting priorities and managing the backlog.
* Support business growth by identifying new business opportunities and leading the development of new service offerings.
Key Skills:
* Experience as a Technical Leader within Solutions Architecture, within Defence or a similar complex secure environment.
* An excellent communication and relationship builder with both internal and external stakeholders.
* The ability to ascertain technical requirements and scopes of work.
* Proven experience within Architecture e.g. IDAM, MFA, SSO.
* Experience with MOD governance and security policies such as JSP 604, 440.
* Strong understanding of IT security and design considerations of high-assurance systems.
* Broad knowledge of Hosting Technologies, Infrastructure, Networks, Cloud and Service Management.
